How to make a claymation?

Claymation videos are cool and fun to make.  It is easy to get started and doesn't require much in the way of resources.  All you really need is some clay, a digital camera and a computer!

Here are the basic  steps to make your claymation  video.

 Think of an Idea.
It is really important, the better or funnier or scarier your idea, the better the result!

  Create your Storyboard .
Sketch out the scenes for your video, you will follow this when you take your pictures and assemble your video.

 Make your Characters
Take your  time, create some good characters, make them sturdy enough to stand on their own and hold their position, but flexible enough to move.

     Props and Background .
These will make the video more interesting.  Choose colors that don't overwhelm your characters.

  Take Pictures .
Set your character(s) up, make sure there is good lighting and start taking pictures.  You will
need to make very small movements between pictures so that the resulting video is smooth.

 Assemble your Movie.
Upload your pictures to your computer.  Load the pictures into your video editing software (movie maker .

Add Music, Sound, Voice Over and Titles.
There are lots of great things you can do to make your video better or more interesting. Here are some of these.
(You should consider each of these.)

o    Add Music. This is something simple to do, each video editing program will allow you to upload music and add.

o    Add Sound Effects. This is similar to adding music.  The video editing programs have sound effects, can also get other sound effects that you can add

o    Add Voice Over.  The video editing programs also allow you to add voice over.  This is an easy way to have characters talk (even if you don't make their mouths move).  You can also add a narrator using voice over.

o    Add Titles.  This is easy, add a title at the beginning and credits at the end. The video editing software
that you are using has the ability to add titles.

How to construct a bar graph in excel?
One of our activity on I.C.T is to conduct a survey in Cafeteria. The aim of this activity is to determine what year level, course and gender has the highest number of normalista (student) having their lunch at cafeteria and we are required to construct a graph.
There are many kinds of charts and graphs and some are easy to understand while others are tricky. They are different from one another because each one has it fairly use. It can be used to show how  thing changes over time or compare items.

Since we wanted to show what course, gender and year level have the highest number of student who are staying in cafeteria. We used bar graph.

Here are the step on creating bar graph in excel :

1. Open the excel then locate and open the spreadsheet from which you want to make a bar graph. Select all the data that you want to include in the bar graph.

2 .Include the column and row headers, which will become the labels in the bar graph ( If you want different labels type them in the appropriate header cell).

3. Choose chart from the insert menu. Make sure that the column is selected under the chart type. Select the sub type of bar graph from the display on the right and click next.

4. Make sure that the data range is correct and that column is selected in the data range tab. Enter the title of the graph for the X axis and Y axis. This will appear at the appropriate places on the bar graph.(Click the other tab and make any changes you want. Decide where to place the bar graph. It can be placed on a separate sheet or it can be embedded in the spreadsheet.)

5. Use the chart tool bar to make any final adjustments on the bar graph.(If the toolbar is not visible click view and select the toolbar menu then select chart toolbar).

 Baysai (beautiful)

Oh! It’s four o' clock in the afternoon. Its time for my I.C.T class, I' m so excited on our next activity " water marking " because we are the one who will decide what subject we are going to choose. When I entered our class room I immediately go to my groupmate and we collaborate about our activity.
tik tak tik tak...  Time pass....
After ten minute we decided to choose bougainvillea as our subject. Then suddenly when I looked outside, I remember when I was a child that this plant is the common ingredients on our play "luto - lutuan".I miss those days and if there' s a time machine i 'll use it to go back in the past........
Ooppss! my mind start to travel out of this world...Let's back to reality.
We decided to choose bougainvillea because it is very abundant and it is colorful
It is a kind of plant that is abundant in the wild and is not endangered because when it is vine like, it spreads very quickly even though it does not have seeds and also it is insects free.
This plant can reach over thirty feet. It can either be a vines, shrub or tree with sharp thorns and when we look at its leaves we can notice that it shape is like a little heart with drip tips at the ends. They are dark rich green and look almost like ivy leaves then on the undersides of it, there are little hairs.

After we discuss, there is a question that bothered  my mind.. "What made the bougainvillea colorful? " When I arrived at home I start scanning my android and below are some facts  I gathered about bougainvillea:
What makes this plant colorful?
It's not the flower that make this plant colorful, its actually the magenta bracts. The bract can be seen in all shades of pink and purple, and also red, yellow, white, salmon and orange. The flower is just tiny and white.
Let’s have a closer look on its flower.

At first our reason why we choose bougainvillea as our subject is very lame but after I read the information I gathered, I realized that bougainvillea is a very wonderful plant and has its own unique way of life.It leaves and flowers are very unusual also. It can grow in may different ways from shrubs to vines to tress. It also lives in a very interesting place.

Human Karyotyping Laboratory
Do you want to experience karyotyping? If yes then start scrolling down....

Male koryotype

Below is an example of human karyotyping.( Note: before you perform this activity you must read first the background.)

Background:
Sometimes chromosomal is lost or rearranged during the formation of gametes or during cell division of the early embryo. Such changes, primarily the result of non dis junction or
trans location, these are so severe that the pregnancy ends in miscarriage.

Karyotype is the chromosomal characteristic of cell. It can show prospective whether they have certain abnormalities that could be passed on to their offspring ,or it might be used to lean caused child disability. Karyotype can also reveal certain defects through examination of cells from uterine fluid.

To create a karyotype, chromosomes from a cell are stained and photograph. This photograph will be enlarged and cut up into individual chromosomes.(Cornet's Living Environment Laboratory)

 Aim:
The aim of this laboratory experience is understand what is karyotype and how it is perform.

 Materials:
    Scissor
    Ruler
    Glue or paste
    Small envelope
 Procedure:
       1. Using the attached sheets, complete two different type of      karyotypes: normal female and male. (work slowly and carefully).

      2. Using scissors cut out the chromosome one by one and find it's exact match elsewhere on the page and paste both chromosomes side by side on " data page " that has heading filled out. Continue this procedure until you have matched all the chromosomes and paste each of them in the corresponding place on the data page place.( Note: Do not cut all chromosomes and them attempt to match them; cut only one at a time  you will lose it.)Use an envelope to store any chromosomes, so that it will not lose.

The Legend of Makahiya
by: Rinalyn Austria Calvadores

Once upon a time there lived a rich couple named Mang Dodong and Aling Iska, who had a ten-year- old daughter named Miya. She is dutiful, obedient and kind because of this attitude she was loved by her neighborhood. But shyness was one of hr distinct, she avoided interacting with people and used to locked herself in their house. Miya had a beautiful garden ,which was well known all over their town. She talked and took care of her plants, because it is the only place where she can expressed her feeling and enjoy herself.    One day a group of bandits raided the village  and killed every man they found for money. When Mang Dodong noticed the arrival of the bandits, fearing his daughter's safety , he hide Miya in the garden while Aling Iska hide herself under the be.She trembled with fear and prayed"Oh my God! Save my daughter".Then suddenly the door open  and the bandit entered the house. They hit Mang Dodong which cause him to be unconsciouss  and fell on the ground. When his wife  saw what happened she was trying to go to the garden  but the bandit saw and hit her on head. The bandits pillaged the house and took away all the money and jewelries, then they left the house to plunder other village.   When the couple regained their conscioussness they ran to the garden to look for Miya  but she was not there. They searched again and again but Miya could not be found. Then suddenly something picked  Mang Dodong's feet and had saw a tiny plants closing its leaves. The couple  knelt  at their knees and took  a closer look at the plant. After looking at the plant for a long period of time ,they came to know that the plant was their daughter Miya. Indeed, to save her from the bandits,God transformed Miya into a plant. Aling Iska wept uncontrollably, and to their surprise every tear got transformed into a small and rosy flower of the new plant  that they found in the garden.   After that, the couple tended the plant with immerse care, as they knew that  in reality the plant was their child Miya. The plant was as shy as Miya, so they named it "Miya" so that every time they saw it   they will remember their daughter but as the time goes the term Miya turn to "Makahiya" which means shyness in English which describe the distinct characteristic of  Miya.

            Mimosa  pudica
( one of the top ten amazing plants)

www.rinalynaustriacalvadores.blogspot.com

Makahiya is the vernacular name also called the sensitive plants. The scientific name is Mimosa pudica, comes from latin word pudica which means "shy".Mimosa pudica is creeping annual or perennial herb often grow for curiosity value. The species is native in South and Central America but now apantropical weeds.

The leaves of Mimosa pudica are bipinnately compound with one or two pinnae pairs and 10-26 leaflets per pinna. The compound leaves fold inward and droops when touch and reopen minutes later. It is also closed under various other stimuli, such as warming, blowing or shaking. These types of movements have been termed seistomastic movements, the movement that occurs when specific regions of cells lose turgor pressure.

When the plant is being disturbed specific regions on the stems are stimulated to release chemicals including potassium ions which force water out of the cell vacuoles and the water diffuses out of the cell, producing a lost of cell pressure and cell collapse of the leaf petioles. This characteristics is quite common within the Mimosedeae , subfamily of the legume family,Fabaceae.  The stimulus can also be transmitted to neighboring leaves but it is not known exactly why Mimosa pudica evolved this trait. Many scientists think that the plant uses its ability to shrink as defense from predators.May be animals are afraid to fast moving plant and would rather eat a less active one.Another possible explanation is that the sudden movement dislodges harmful insects.
